Good morning. Looking for a “Black Friday” deal that will bring you from homebrewer to professional brewer in one fell swoop? Homebrewing Deals Black Friday 2025

We will keep this one short and sweet - I will go through the Black Friday homebrewing deals I am seeing right now. While it can be an annoying time of year from businesses, you can score some really great deals on homebrewing equipment that you won’t find at any other time.

Anvil is the homebrewing arm of Blichmann, and they have some high quality equipment. Some deals to look out for are the 2 for 1 on their proprietary kegs that have removable bottoms, and the 30% off their Foundry All in One brewing system. Just make sure not to miss the deals you want because they are offered on a rotating basis.

MoreBeer is rolling out daily discount deals that it are not public until the day they are active, so you have to come back everyday through December 2nd to see what the deal of the day is. These deals can be 25% to 30% off particular homebrewing products, so it’s worth taking a look as the week goes on to see if there is anything of interest to you.

The base deal from Yakima Valley Hops is 10% off, but the most interesting deal I see here is their “Crop Closeout”. You can get pounds of 2023 hops for just $10, with a lot of varieties on offer. If you’re looking to stock up on hops, you can’t get better quality than Yakima Valley Hops.

Northern Brewer hasn’t disclosed all of their Black Friday deals just yet, but one on offer currently is up to 20% off Grainfather products if you were interested in getting one of their all in one systems. I’m sure later in the week they will release more deals that are worth keeping an eye on.

There are more deals but I promised I would keep this short - the deal I have my eye on are the 2 for 1 on the Anvil kegs, they look pretty cool and it’s a killer deal.

Brewgr Recipe of the Week

I couldn’t resist highlighting this recipe - not only is Village Iditio a great username for a homebrewer, but a honey brown ale sounds perfect on a cool fall day.

Thanks to everyone who wrote in on this one - it was probably the most mixed bag of a poll we’ve had to date. The slim majority are interested in trying flash brewing, which I understand - if it actually yields good beer, it’s worth investigating yourself - while it’s not homebrewing on a purists level, it is the fastest way to “brew” 5 gallons of beer I’ve ever seen.

The negative reviews were essentially saying that flash brewing kits were heating - especially if they make good beer, then it’s taking away from the art of the hobby. For those who have tried them already, the reviews are mixed - some people wrote in to say that they loved them and the beer was great, others had rough reviews and that the beer tasted awful.

One brewer wrote in with a very interesting take - that the future of homebrewing may be flash brewing, but with all the ingredients broken out into their unique components so that you could formulate your own recipes. Definitely an interesting thought!

Flash Brewing Taste Update… Next Week

I wanted to let the cold crash last a few more days based on recommendations I found online for flash brewing kits. Will provide an update next week!

And the Answer Is...

🍺 They didn’t have enough barley, a crucial ingredient for brewing beer. The first licensed brewery in Massachusetts was started in 1637, 16 years later.
